CJ Jacobson

Born and raised in Orange County, Chef CJ Jacobson’s craft revolves around Mediterranean food through a California lens – guided by freshness, balance, and vibrant flavors. After traveling the world and discovering his true passion for food while playing professional volleyball, he went on to train and hone in on his organic skills at the Le Cordon Bleu-affiliated College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena. Since launching his culinary career in 2004, he has starred in two seasons of Bravo’s Top Chef, won Top Chef Duels in 2014, and has cooked in some of the country’s most respected kitchens across California and Chicago. Today, CJ is the Chef Partner at Ema and Aba, Lettuce Entertain You concepts that reflect his signature style: seasonal, modern Mediterranean cuisine rooted in a light, Californian cooking.
